My Favorite Place: Otter Brook Dam
My favorite place is Otter Brook dam in Roxbury New Hampshire. It's my favorite place because I have a lot of good memories there. In the spring when the snow melts there are lots of wild flowers and birds. Closer to the water is peaceful and calm. Lots of mushrooms and moss grow along the paths. Taking walks through the trees makes me feel at peace.

Seeing all of it from above is by far my favorite. There is a road across the dam that is blocked off from cars so you can put down a blanket and sit. It's far from most houses so it's very quiet.
My photo of Otter Brook
The picture that you took of Otter Brook is beautiful. I have gone to a smaller part of Otter Brook and pictures do not show just how beautiful it is especially in person.

ReplyDeleteHi Emery, thank you for sharing this blog. I too have been to the Otter Brook dam and enjoy it very much. My friends and I have taken many late night rips here and during the day time, just to walk around or to enjoy the sunshine on nice days. I feel as if many Keene students would resonate with this blog post. What is new to me in this post, is how you mentioned the moss and mushrooms growing. I have no seen this but I do enjoying noticing new things, so next time I go visit this dam I will check it out. Yuor photo of the Otter Brook dam is very beautiful and truly captures the beauty of the nature around the day. This post really reminds me of good times, enjoying, relaxing and being surrounded by nature. I look forward to visiting the Otter Brook dam again soon.
